Job summary

Forsgren Associates in Utah is seeking an accomplished Project Manager to lead civil and infrastructure projects from planning through construction.

You will mentor engineers and coordinate with clients, regulators, and subconsultants to deliver high-quality, on-time results. A PE with Utah registration is required, along with 7+ years of progressive civil engineering experience.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification in Utah.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams through full project life cycle: planning, design, permitting, bidding, construction support, commissioning, and closeout.
• Manage civil, land development, and infrastructure projects.
• Serve as primary client contact, guiding public agency and utility clients through technical, regulatory, budget and schedule considerations.
• Develop and manage scopes, schedules, budgets, risk strategies, deliverables, and quality expectations.
• Provide technical leadership and QA/QC for plans, reports, and construction-phase engineering support.
• Mentor and coach engineers and project managers to build a collaborative, growth-minded team.
• Support business development through client relationships, proposals, interviews, and networking.
• Assist clients in pursuing state, federal, and other funding opportunities for infrastructure.

What You’ll Lead:

• Lead multidisciplinary teams through the full project life cycle; planning, alternatives analysis, design, permitting, bidding, construction support, commissioning, and closeout.
• Manage civil, land development, and infrastructure projects.
• Serve as a trusted client partner and primary point of contact, helping public agency and utility clients navigate technical, regulatory, budget, schedule, and stakeholder considerations.
• Develop and manage scopes, schedules, budgets, risk strategies, technical deliverables, and quality expectations to keep projects moving forward successfully.
• Provide technical leadership and QA/QC review for plans, specifications, opinions of probable cost, reports, permits, and construction-phase engineering support.
• Mentor and coach engineers, designers, and emerging project managers while creating a collaborative, accountable, and growth-minded team environment.
• Support business development through client relationship building, proposal strategy, interviews, presentations, networking, and identification of new and repeat work.
• Help clients pursue state, federal, and other funding opportunities that make critical infrastructure improvements possible.

What We’re Looking For:

• B.S. in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Utah
• 7+ years of progressive civil engineering experience
• Strong technical background in project delivery from conceptual planning through detailed design, permitting, bidding, and construction support.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, subconsultants, internal teams, and community stakeholders.
• A leadership style that balances technical confidence with collaboration, mentorship, accountability, and a genuine interest in helping others grow.
