$105,000 – $130,000 annually
An established and fast-growing land development consulting firm is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead site development projects in the Philadelphia region. This is a leadership role focused on delivering high-quality designs, managing project teams, and building strong client relationships.
As a Project Manager, you will oversee the design and delivery of diverse civil/site development projects — including residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial work. You’ll manage project workflows, mentor staff, guide permitting, and lead client interactions from concept to completion.
This role combines technical expertise with operational leadership and offers strong growth potential.
Lead site/civil engineering design including grading, stormwater, utility layout, and erosion control
Manage design teams, schedules, and budgets in a deadline-driven environment
Handle permitting processes with federal, state, and local agencies
Perform quality control reviews and maintain project standards
Support proposal development, budgeting, and client presentations
Guide teams on technical problem-solving and coordination issues
Present projects at land use boards and jurisdictional agencies
Foster business development and maintain long-term client relationships
Mentor staff and promote professional development
Ensure timely, high-quality project delivery within budget constraints
Track project financials including accounts receivable
Conduct construction oversight for civil/site work
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
5+ years of site civil engineering and permitting experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Familiarity with truck turning and modeling software
Strong background in stormwater management and utility design
Knowledge of planning and zoning processes
Experience working with regulatory agencies and reviewers
Construction observation and site investigation experience
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Critical thinker with ability to manage multiple priorities
Valid driver’s license and access to a personal or company vehicle
AutoCAD Civil 3D
Hydraflow, HydroCAD, PondPack
StormCAD, SSA (Storm and Sanitary Analysis), HEC-RAS
Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Project
Bluebeam Revu and/or Adobe Acrobat for design markups
