Job summary

Verdantas is hiring a Civil Engineering Project Manager to drive a growing NH portfolio including municipal, commercial, and residential projects. You will oversee design, permitting, and coordination across teams, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

The role requires a 6–12 year civil engineering background, NH design knowledge, and a PE license or PMP; AutoCAD Civil3D and HydroCAD proficiency are preferred. Hybrid NH office locations available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 6–12 years of civil engineering experience; NH design/permitting preferred.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.
• PMP or similar project management cert preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D.
• HydroCAD or similar stormwater software experience.
• Strong knowledge of stormwater, drainage, water/wastewater systems.
• Project management experience or leadership ability.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle; occasional travel.
• Ability to perform field work on undeveloped sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee civil engineering design of municipal, commercial, residential, and institutional projects, including site design and permitting.
• Prepare reports and permit applications related to civil engineering projects.
• Design and manage various civil engineering projects, including drainage, water/wastewater, roads, and pedestrian facilities.
• Develop comprehensive project plans aligning client needs with company goals across all phases.
• Manage project resources including personnel, equipment, and materials.
• Monitor budgets and ensure financial objectives are met.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Communicate project status and milestones to stakeholders.
• Ensure on-time, in-scope, within-budget delivery and quality standards.
• Lead and motivate project teams; maintain comprehensive documentation.

Verdantas is looking for a dynamic Civil Engineering Project Manager to help drive our expanding portfolio of projects in New Hampshire. This position can be located in any of our NH offices, including; Hanover, Littleton, Manchester, New London, Newmarket, North Conway, or Ossipee.

What You'll Do:

• Oversee civil engineering design of municipal, commercial, residential, and institutional projects, including site design and permitting
• Prepare reports and permit applications related to civil engineering projects
• Design and manage various civil engineering-related projects, including drainage collection, detention, and treatment systems, water and wastewater systems, roads and parking areas, pedestrian facilities, stream crossings, and other related project types
• Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation
• Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, ensuring they are used efficiently and effectively
• Monitor project budgets, ensuring that costs are controlled and financial objectives are met
• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact
• Communicate project status, updates, and key milestones to stakeholders and senior management
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, meeting the required quality standards
• Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and records

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
• 6-12 years of professional experience in the practice of civil engineering; New Hampshire design and permitting experience preferred
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
• PMP or related Project Management certification, preferred
• Experience with AutoCAD design software, including Civil3D
• Experience with HydroCAD stormwater analysis software or similar
• Technical experience and sound understanding of civil engineering fundamentals, including stormwater/drainage design, surface water hydrology, water and wastewater systems, culvert design, and roadway/parking design
• Project management experience, or management ability, and willingness to learn
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle; occasional travel required
• Ability to complete field work, including carrying equipment and walking on an undeveloped site

Salary Range:

The compensation range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000, with final compensation determined based on years of experience, qualifications, and licensing status.
