Job summary

Wessler Engineering is seeking a Project Engineer in Bluffton, Ohio to drive drinking water and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning through completion. You will collaborate with Project Managers, clients, and technical staff to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to high quality standards.

You will lead design efforts, mentor team members, and maintain strong client relationships while seeking opportunities for future work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 2 years of civil engineering experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of engineering design and project delivery.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and budgets.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
• A collaborative mindset with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical execution of civil engineering projects from planning through completion.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to develop project schedules, staffing plans, and budgets.
• Prepare and oversee engineering studies, designs, plans, and specifications.
• Guide and mentor designers, technicians, and support staff throughout project delivery.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, schedules, and quality to ensure successful outcomes.
• Perform quality assurance and technical reviews to maintain company standards.
• Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions with internal teams and clients.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for future work.
