Bolton & Menk has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer, PE to join our Water/Wastewater team in our Burnsville office. We are looking to add a Project Engineer, PE who will help foster our mission that All People Should Live in Safe, Sustainable and Beautiful Communities! In this role you will have a focus on water treatment and wastewater treatment facility projects.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Responsible for the management planning, scheduling and performance of multiple engineering projects and personnel, both design and construction.
  • Work closely with Project Managers in understanding client needs and expectations.
  • Review and/or prepare preliminary reports and feasibility studies.
  • Read and interpret engineering plans, specifications and reports.
  • Provide technical advice regarding design, construction or modification and repairs to clients, contractors and other staff members.
  • May assist with business development activities (client needs, research, proposals, etc.).
  • Coordinate construction administration and monitor documentation requirements with field staff.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university; Master's degree in Civil Engineering strongly preferred with an emphasis in water and/or wastewater treatment.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer, with the ability to obtain Minnesota licensure within 6 months of hire.
  • 5+ years' progressive experience in the civil engineering field, including experience working with water and wastewater treatment infrastructure.
  • Experience with client relationship management and business development.
  • Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $120,000 depending on years of experience and credentials.
