Job summary

Bolton & Menk, Inc. seeks a Project Engineer, PE to join our Water Resources team in our Jefferson office.

You will support project managers in design and construction phase activities on water resources and agricultural drainage projects, with a focus on storm water modeling and design. The role emphasizes delivering safe, sustainable, and beautiful communities, leveraging our 75+ years of experience and state-of-the-art tools such as AutoCAD and MicroStation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Water Resources, Biosystems, or Agricultural Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.
  • 4+ years progressive experience in civil engineering with hydraulic and hydrologic modeling.
  • Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, GeoPAK Drainage, HydroCAD, P8 and GIS.
  • Microsoft Excel (preferred).
  • CIVIL3D (preferred).
  • Visa sponsorship not available; must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start.

Responsibilities

  • Performs detailed design computations.
  • Performs preliminary layout, modeling and design.
  • Researches and prepares rough drafts of preliminary reports and feasibility studies.
  • Assists with project design and preparation of plans and specifications and prepares cost and quantity take‑off estimates.
  • Assists with plan reviews, storm water pollution prevention plans, design of storm water facilities, storm water detention and retention design, water quality design, and storm water management planning.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Water Resources, Biosystems, or Agricultural Engineering
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
4+ years experience in civil engineering with hydraulic/hydrologic modeling

Bolton & Menk has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer, PE to join our Water Resources team in our Jefferson office. We are looking to add a Water Resources Project Engineer, PE who will help foster our mission that All People Should Live in Safe, Sustainable and Beautiful Communities! As a Water Resources Project Engineer, you will spend the majority of your time assisting project managers in design and construction phase activities on water resources and ag drainage projects. The primary focus of this position is on ag drainage storm water modeling and design projects. You will assist our team in achieving our belief that all people should live in safe, sustainable, and beautiful communities. We take pride in our ability to provide technical planning and engineering services to make that happen.
