Bolton & Menk has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer, PE to join our Transportation team in our newly established Duluth office. We are looking to add a Transportation Project Engineer, PE who will help foster our mission that All People Should Live in Safe, Sustainable and Beautiful Communities! As a Transportation Project Engineer you will assist our transportation, traffic and municipal project managers in coordinating, planning, scheduling and execution of preliminary and final highway design projects.

We are seeking candidates with a high capacity for self-motivation who can apply engineering and transportation engineering knowledge to various projects. The role also requires developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and staff from different agencies.

Responsibilities:

• Performs detailed design computations
• Performs preliminary layout, modeling and design
• Researches and prepares rough drafts of preliminary reports and feasibility studies
• Assists with project design, plans, specifications, and cost and quantity estimates

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university or closely related field
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
• 4+ years' progressive experience in civil engineering, including transportation and municipal infrastructure
• Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, GeoPAK Drainage, HydroCAD, P8, and GIS
• Valid driver's license and own transportation; travel reimbursement provided
