Job summary

Psomas in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Project Engineer / Civil Engineer to support site development and public works projects across Southern California. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions for public agencies, private developers, and institutions.

The role requires a CA PE license, a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, and 5+ years of experience, with AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Active California PE license.
• 5+ years of experience supporting multi-discipline civil engineering projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong technical skills with experience preparing reports, designs, construction documents, specifications, and calculations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, collaborate effectively, and communicate with clients and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Engineering Design & Analysis: perform research, due diligence, and calculations for civil projects.
• Project Coordination & Delivery: collaborate with clients, subconsultants, and internal teams to manage scope, schedule, and budget.
• Plans, Specifications & Documentation: prepare drawings, specs, and reports for design and permitting.
• Permitting & Agency Coordination: coordinate with public agencies for planning and approvals.
• Team Collaboration & Mentorship: support and mentor junior staff in a collaborative environment.
