Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson seeks a project engineer to support site/civil engineering tasks, including design, permitting, and coordination with clients and sub-consultants. The role develops working knowledge of design criteria and regulatory requirements across multiple projects.

The candidate should hold an ABET-accredited civil engineering degree, have 5–10 years of experience, and be a Pennsylvania-licensed PE. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 5–10 years’ experience in general civil engineering design.
• Pennsylvania Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
• Proficient in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of Federal, State and local permitting regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate detailed phases of engineering work.
• Analyze survey data, maps, drawings and geologic data to plan projects.
• Perform design computations and develop construction cost estimates.
• Prepare contract plans, specifications and estimates and coordinate with sub-consultants.
• Attend meetings with clients and manage project teams to meet deadlines and quality standards.
