Job summary

Keeley Construction Group in Dallas, TX is hiring a Project Engineer for our Civil Group. You will coordinate project documentation, support bid and estimate tasks, and ensure safety and compliance on construction sites.

The role offers hands-on experience under Superintendents and Project Managers, with opportunities for growth within a family-oriented culture and exposure to multi-discipline teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; equivalent work experience considered.
• Minimum of six months of applicable internship experience in the construction industry.
• Willing to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work, documentation, and correspondence between all project team members.
• Assist in bid solicitation and estimate functions.
• Adhere to OSHA and Company safety requirements.
• Prepare and maintain submittal/RFI logs for construction projects.
• Document and communicate scope changes to project team.
• Coordinate the change proposal, review, and submission process.
• Participate in construction meetings with required personnel, subcontractors, designers, and owners.
• Plan and prepare detailed project schedules for up to three months in advance.
• Shadow Superintendents and Project Managers to learn role expectations.
• Read and interpret project plans and understand on-site execution.
• Handle administrative processes: permits, contracts, timekeeping, billing, subcontracts, payables, change orders.
• Identify and address safety, quality, and site condition issues.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, related field, or equivalent work experience
