Job summary

CPH is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to join our collaborative land development team in Sanford, FL. You will help develop project plans, prepare documents, and assist in design and inspections to ensure quality and compliance.

Ideal candidate has a BS in Civil Engineering, 0–2 years of experience or relevant internship, EI/EIT or plan to obtain within 1 year, and proficiency in MS Office; Deltek Vision/Smartsheet familiarity is a plus; AutoCAD is a plus.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in a similar role or relevant internship.
• EI/EIT Certification or commitment to obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Basic knowledge of engineering principles, project management, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with Deltek Vision and Smartsheet; AutoCAD a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of project plans including scope, timeframe, and budget.
• Prepare and maintain documentation (reports, drawings, specs).
• Assist in design and development of engineering solutions (drafting, drawings).
• Conduct inspections and quality control to maintain high standards.
• Ensure compliance with standards and regulations; prepare/evaluate proposals.

CPH is seeking a talented Civil Project Engineer to join our dynamic and highly collaborative land development team!

Project Engineer Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of projects plans, including the scope of work, timeframe, and budget.
• Prepare and maintain documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Assist in the design and development of engineering solutions, including drafting, and drawings.
• Conduct inspections and quality control to maintain high standards.
• Conduct research and analysis to support project design and development.
• Ensure the design and engineering work complies with industry standards and regulations.
• Assist in the preparation and evaluation of proposals.
• Ensure the projects comply with engineering standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
• Prepare and/or present progress reports, including updates on project status.
• Stay up to date with engineering technology and industry standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook and familiarity with Deltek Vision and Smartsheet or similar software’s platforms.
• AutoCAD experience is a plus.
• Ability to exercise critical thinking and good independent judgement.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively multi-task and work on multiple projects while adhering to project schedules and budgets.
• Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate project deadlines.

Education and Experience
