Civil Project Engineer III - Land Development

Job Description

Timmons Group is currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer III to join our Land Development group located in our Prince George, VA office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Design portions of projects using relevant office software, modeling, and Civil 3D technology.
  2. Complete calculations using engineering formulas and skills or utilize computers to solve problems.
  3. Prepare specifications and materials through research and manufacturing catalogs, including materials, installation, inspection, and payment specifics.
  4. Work to complete design details and plan sets.
  5. Perform research and write objective summary reports used in project work or inspections.
  6. Assist in preparing engineering and construction cost estimates.
  7. Complete field observation, inspection, and data collection duties as directed by senior engineering staff.
  8. Communicate with client staff and internal design team as directed by senior engineering staff.

Skills/Requirements include but are not limited to:

  1. A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
  2. 4+ years of experience in Land Development civil engineering, including residential neighborhood design, commercial, and mixed-use development.
  3. EIT certification preferred.
  4. Working knowledge of CADD and Civil 3D software (Civil 3D preferred).
  5. Legal eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
