Job summary

Hampton, Lenzini and Renwick, Inc. (HLR) in Elgin, IL is seeking a full-time Project Engineer to join our civil engineering team. You will contribute to the design of municipal and private projects, including roadways, sewers, water mains, bridges, and traffic systems, while developing plans, specifications, and cost estimates.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree and is a licensed PE in IL or IN or can obtain licensure within 6 months. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Must be a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois or Indiana, or able to achieve PE license within 6 months.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Take on an increasingly responsible role in the design of municipal and private projects.
• Provide engineering support for roadway reconstruction, sewers, water mains, bridges, trails, and traffic signals.
• Develop plans, specifications, schedules, permits, and inspection reports; prepare design computations and quantity estimates.
