Typical Duties Include:
- Site Civil Design including storm water, sanitary, watermain, pavement, and grading design for site and subdivision plans
- Water main and Sewer Design
- Production of site civil plans, grading plans, SESC plans, standard details, As- built plans
- Permitting and coordination with permitting agencies
- Write, review, and approve project specifications
- Direction and oversight of junior project engineers
- Cost estimates, bid letting, and contracting documents
- Maintenance of traffic (MOT) plans.
- RFI coordination, and shop drawing review
- Attending progress meetings, and preparing meeting minutes.
- Preparation of proposals
- Document creation with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- This position will require some out-of-town work assignments depending on the project requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
- 6-10+ years of civil engineering experience in the private and public sectors
- BS and/or MS in Civil Engineering or closely related field
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D for Civil design work
- Ability to apply engineering fundamentals to shifting real world conditions
- Demonstrates motivation to modify schedule as required to meet deadlines and/or client needs
- Experience with municipal clients, geotechnical, water/waste water, structural and hydraulic engineering projects a plus
- Experience collaborating and maintaining relationships across offices
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Insurable driving record
