Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Civil Engineer for our New York State office in Village of Cold Spring. The role focuses on surveying, mapping and civil engineering services for architectural, development and governmental clients.

You will work on site project design, permitting and CAD drawings, managing projects and client relationships, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program.
• Five (5) years of relevant experience in lieu of a PE.
• Experience in a professional consulting environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; design skills including AutoCAD and HydroCAD.
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
• Time management skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment on multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
• Perform and manage standard computations and analysis, prepare reports, permit applications, and develop CAD design drawings.
• Development of detailed site, grading, utility and erosion and sediment control plans.
• Storm water management design, minor water and wastewater design, roadway and parking design and construction detailing and specifications.
• Development of proposals for professional services.
• Management of projects, technicians and client relationships.
• Development of technical approaches to projects, and participation in public presentations and speaking engagements.
