Job summary

Protouch Staffing is seeking a Civil Engineer to oversee design efforts for public works and infrastructure projects in Connecticut. The role involves preparing plans, performing calculations, and coordinating with clients and regulators.

You will develop site plans, drainage designs, and hydrologic analyses while supporting water and wastewater projects. Field visits, QA/QC, and collaboration with CAD staff are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• EIT or PE licensure in Connecticut preferred or ability to obtain.
• Experience with highway/bridge design and stormwater management.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, stormwater modeling tools, and MS Office.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design for public works and infrastructure projects.
• Experience with highway or bridge design, Stormwater Management, including drainage design, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, and regulatory compliance.
• Skills in Site Development, such as grading, utilities, roadway layout, and permitting support.
• Commitment to Quality Control, including plan reviews, adherence to design standards, and accurate documentation.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
• EIT or PE licensure in Connecticut (or ability to obtain) preferred.
• Familiarity with relevant design software, including AutoCAD/Civil 3D, stormwater modeling tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team setting.
• Ability to conduct occasional field work, including site visits and construction observation.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license.
