Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Direct and train Civil Design Technicians to support reports, exhibits, plans, specifications, and permit applications.
  • Lead design efforts for low to moderate complexity civil site design projects across commercial, residential, and industrial work.
  • Utilize engineering software to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations per code and IMEG standards.
  • Oversee permit applications in coordination with team, client, and reviewing jurisdiction.
  • Oversee projects through bidding and construction administration.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand needs and manage project requirements and budgets.
  • Lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling tasks, and document design decisions; monitor progress and fees.
  • Analyze engineering problems and develop practical, efficient solutions with senior staff.
  • Ensure safety and regulatory compliance and apply local design criteria to projects.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.

document client design decisions and instructions; and monitor design progress, percent complete, and fee expended.* Analyze engineering problems, propose innovative solutions, and collaborate with senior engineers and consultants to develop practical and efficient solutions.* Prioritize safety and regulatory compliance, interpret state and local design criteria, and apply them to specific project needs.* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions.* Identify potential project problems and seek advice from the Project Manager.**What You'll Bring****Required****Education*** Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent required**Experience*** 3 years of experience minimum required, 4 preferred, in the building design consulting industry OR* 7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in the building design consulting or construction industry**Required Skills/Abilities*** Knowledge of industry standard engineering software, primarily Civil 3D* Proficient with pipe networking and road corridors.* Proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications* Strong technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles in the civil engineering field* Ability to train and mentor less experienced staff* Able to lead teams with others that utilize industry standard software that assists with civil engineering analysis and design* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
