Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Paralegal to join its legal team in Midland, TX. You will work alongside accomplished attorneys on complex litigation matters, taking an active role in case strategy, client communication, discovery, and trial preparation.

You will manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution, organize files and documents, and draft essential legal documents.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of Civil Litigation Paralegal experience.
  • Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and court processes.
  • Experience supporting matters in state and federal courts.
  • Proficiency with legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.

Responsibilities

  • Manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
  • Organize and maintain case files, pleadings, discovery materials, correspondence, and exhibits.
  • Draft, proofread, and prepare legal documents including complaints, answers, motions, subpoenas, declarations, and settlement agreements.
  • Manage all aspects of discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission, and document productions.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare summaries, memoranda, and supporting materials for attorneys.
  • Coordinate electronic court filings and ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines.
  • Maintain litigation calendars and track critical dates, hearings, depositions, and filing deadlines.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, experts, and vendors.
  • Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and other litigation-related events.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including witness coordination, exhibit management, and courtroom logistics.

What You’ll Do

As a key member of our litigation team, you will help move cases forward efficiently and effectively by:

  • Managing civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
  • Organizing and maintaining case files, pleadings, discovery materials, correspondence, and exhibits
  • Drafting, proofreading, and preparing legal documents including complaints, answers, motions, subpoenas, declarations, and settlement agreements
  • Managing all aspects of discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission, and document productions
  • Conducting legal research and preparing summaries, memoranda, and supporting materials for attorneys
  • Coordinating electronic court filings and ensuring compliance with applicable court rules and deadlines
  • Maintaining litigation calendars and tracking critical dates, hearings, depositions, and filing deadlines
  • Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, experts, and vendors
  • Coordinating depositions, mediations, hearings, and other litigation‑related events
  • Assisting with trial preparation, including witness coordination, exhibit management, trial binders, and courtroom logistics
  • Tracking case expenses and supporting billing and reporting activities
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and improve litigation workflows
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience as a Civil Litigation Paralegal
  • Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and court processes
  • Experience supporting matters in state and federal courts
  • Proven discovery management experience
  • Proficiency with legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis
  • Experience with e-filing systems and litigation case management software
  • Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple active matters and competing deadlines
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or Paralegal Certificate
  • NALA, NFPA, or other paralegal certification
  • Experience with e-discovery platforms and litigation support technology
  • Trial preparation and courtroom support experience
  • Familiarity with document management systems and advanced litigation software
