Civil or Environmental Engineer IV to join and grow with our Water Engineering team! This position is open to individuals located in the western area (Richmond, Charlottesville, Roanoke, Blacksburg) of Virginia, or in close proximity of the Piedmont Triad area (Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point), of North Carolina.

This Opportunity:

  • Partner with a team to manage water infrastructure projects and project teams to support the planning, design, and construction of drinking water treatment, pumping, distribution, storage or conveyance projects
  • Develop creative solutions to complex wastewater treatment and conveyance challenges, working closely with our team of engineers, designers and other professionals
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to deliver innovative project solutions
  • Maintain close relationships with clients throughout development of projects and after completion
  • Help build and strengthen client relationships

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, or a related field
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • Demonstrated experience managing and / or supporting multi-discipline infrastructure projects
  • Experience in the design and construction of municipal, state, federal, or industrial drinking water treatment projects
  • Proven understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Solid knowledge of water treatment systems, equipment, and regulations
  • Residence in the western area (Richmond, Charlottesville, Roanoke, Blacksburg) of Virginia, or in close proximity of the Piedmont Triad area (Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point), of North Carolina.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Seven (7) years of experience designing and/or managing drinking water treatment projects
  • Knowledge of regional water issues and familiarity with the municipal government client base
  • Demonstrated ability to support multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to scope and budget new water treatment facility projects and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools

Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $95,000 and $125,000 based on skill set and experience.

The selected candidate must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.
