About the Company

Our client is a well-established engineering and planning firm with 58+ years of service across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. With ~100 employees — including 30 registered engineers, planners, surveyors, scientists, and 5 registered architects — the firm specializes in public sector civil, municipal, environmental, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic engineering.

Role Overview

We are seeking two experienced Civil Municipal Engineers to join the team — one based in Mount Holly, NJ and one in Wayne, NJ. The ideal candidate will have strong municipal engineering experience, a solid understanding of public infrastructure projects, and a valid Professional Engineer (PE) License.

You will be responsible for designing, managing, and overseeing civil infrastructure projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and oversee municipal infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, utilities, public works).


• Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and technical assessments.


• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, plans, and specifications.


• Collaborate with architects, contractors, surveyors, and project stakeholders.


• Utilize engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, Revit, Bluebeam, Mathcad.


• Perform project engineering tasks including cost estimation, scheduling, and resource planning.


• Ensure compliance with municipal, state, and federal regulations.


• Conduct inspections, tests, and quality checks throughout project phases.


• Provide technical guidance and support to clients and internal teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Required)


• Professional Engineer (PE) License (Required)


• Minimum 3–7+ years of Civil/Municipal Engineering experience


• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and municipal infrastructure


• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, Revit, Bluebeam, Mathcad


• Experience with project management, cost estimation, and engineering workflows


• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
