Job Description: Civil/Mechanical Equipment Operator (Non driver) at Primoris Services Corporation

Primary Responsibilities:

• Report to and assist the immediate supervisor.
• Perform quality work as per project specifications.
• Ensure all tools and materials are accounted for at the end of your shift.
• Work effectively as part of a team.
• Follow safety protocols, knowing and understanding all safety policies and regulations; stop and correct unsafe practices.
• Mobilize and demobilize equipment, including loading, unloading, and setup.
• Maintain equipment, vehicles, and tools, ensuring proper use and upkeep.
• Serve as backup to other positions as directed.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

• Handle hand tools daily; stand for extended periods; perform twisting, bending, and reaching; work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Identify colors; use manual dexterity; communicate effectively.
• Operate motorized equipment safely; work in environments with drafts, noise, or temperature variations.
• Climb ladders, scaffolding; lift items over 50 lbs with assistance; work extended hours on uneven surfaces.
• Wear PPE, including respirators, as required; pass physical exams.

Education & Experience:

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience excavating near underground utilities.
• Valid driver’s license required; Class A CDL with airbrakes and tanker endorsement preferred.
