Job summary

Jobot is seeking a civil litigation defense attorney with at least 3 years of experience to join our growing litigation team. In this role, you will manage a steady pipeline of general liability and insurance-defense matters across multiple industries, with meaningful responsibility early and direct client interaction.

The role offers a hybrid schedule, allowing for in-office collaboration and remote flexibility, with opportunities to take depositions, draft pleadings, and develop case strategy

Qualifications

• 3+ years of civil litigation defense experience.
• Experience with general liability or insurance defense matters.
• Strong motion practice, discovery, and deposition skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and other proceedings.
• Prepare matters for mediation, arbitration, and trial.
• Communicate directly with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and the courts.
• Develop case strategy and provide analysis on liability, damages, and risk exposure.
• Partner with other attorneys and staff to drive efficient case outcomes.
