Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm in Downtown Denver is seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Litigation Attorney with experience in defending civil litigation cases. This is a great opportunity to work alongside seasoned professionals in a collaborative environment, where you will gain hands-on experience in client interactions, depositions, court appearances, and business development. The position offers the potential for a hybrid work schedule after training, with three days in-office and two days remote.

Duties:

• Represent clients in various civil litigation matters
• Manage own caseload and handle all aspects of litigation from start to finish
• Conduct depositions, both taking and defending fact and expert depositions
• Engage and prepare expert witnesses, including expert disclosures and reports
• Handle all facets of pre-trial discovery and motion practice
• Assist in drafting and preparing legal documents, pleadings, and motions
• Participate in first-chair mediations and trials/arbitrations, if applicable
• Collaborate with insurance claims representatives on case assessments and strategies
• Supervise and delegate tasks to paralegals
• Contribute to business development efforts and firm marketing initiatives
• Prepare and deliver legal publications or presentations, when needed
• Travel as necessary for case matters and client meetings

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in Colorado
• Prior experience in civil litigation preferred
• Strong case management skills and a solid work ethic
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Outstanding research and legal writing capabilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases
• Experience working with insurance claims representatives and assessing case strategy
• Familiarity with large document production and database management
• Knowledge of pre-trial motions and discovery procedures
• Experience in managing case schedules, payment claims, and legal procedures
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in the State of Colorado
