Job summary

Madison Law APC in Irvine, CA is seeking an associate attorney to join our consumer defense team. You will gain hands-on experience with civil litigation, handling cases from inception to conclusion, including motion work and routine court appearances.

The ideal candidate is self-starting, highly organized, an effective communicator, and able to work independently and with others. A strong work ethic and commitment to excellence in litigation and client advocacy are essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed in California and in good standing with the State Bar.
• Preferred 3–5 years of civil litigation experience.
• Advanced verbal and written communication abilities.
• Highly organized, responsible, and self-motivated.
• Strong legal writing, research, and problem-solving skills; able to collaborate with colleagues to serve clients.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, briefs, motions, and other legal memoranda.
• Conduct legal research and case analysis.
• Represent clients in legal proceedings including hearings, and, depending on experience, depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Develop strategies and collaborate with senior attorneys on case management.
• Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients effectively.
• Maintain detailed and accurate client records, case files, and client communications.
