Job Summary

In this role, you will collaborate to plan, develop, coordinate, and review project civil design work. You will produce drawings, facilitate discussions, communicate complex technical issues, and prepare civil design estimates and work plan. Your recommendations will ensure designs and work plans are in accordance with project scope, schedule, budget, regulations, and standards.

"This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership"

Major Responsibilities

• Leads the work of civil designers and drafters for a project to includethe preparation of layouts, study drawings, detailed 2-D and 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) design models andconstruction drawings
• Develops designs for complete and complex civilengineering systems such as earthwork, drainage and roaddesign with minimumsupervision from which detailed scale models and/orconstruction drawings are completed
• Assists in constructing detailed scale models
• Prepares or assists with the preparation of assigned materialrequisitions and bid evaluations
• Monitors and checks work for compliance with approvedcivil design standards to provide quality design,reliable/safe plant operation and construction economy
• Participates in constructability reviews
• Prepares design and drafting procedures to standardize designeffort
• Coordinates or makes jobsite visits, as required, to resolveproblems and interpret drawings and documents
• Reviews civil design scope changes,as required, for project management
• Ensures civil systems designs comply with allapplicable installation codes, regulations, and standards

Education And Experience Requirements

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge And Skills

• Experienced in 3D modelling of Site earthworks, drainage, roads, etc.
• Expert in use of Civil modelling software such as Civil3D and/or OpenRoads Designer
• Experience with preparing Quantity takeoffs of Civil materials
