Job summary

Techno Consult Engineering, PC is seeking a Civil Inspector to support inspection, management, and closeout services for structural, civil, electrical, and mechanical projects in the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic region. You will ensure compliance with plans, specs, and safety requirements while coordinating with project teams.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of inspection experience, strong reporting skills, and the ability to read drawings and contract documents.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction inspection experience on projects ranging from $500K to $5M.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Experience preparing inspection reports, daily logs, and construction documentation.
• Experience reviewing contractor payment applications and documenting change orders or extra work.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• TWIC credential and required security clearances.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to work evenings, nights, and weekends as project needs require.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

This role is responsible for ensuring construction activities comply with approved plans, specifications, safety requirements, and applicable standards while coordinating with project teams throughout the construction process.

• Perform inspections throughout all phases of construction.
• Prepare daily reports, inspection reports, and project documentation.
• Monitor construction quality and verify compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety requirements.
• Identify and document potential change orders or extra work.
• Review contractor payment applications and provide recommendations.
• Coordinate inspections and project activities across multiple work sites.
• Work closely with contractors, Resident Engineers, Operations, and Maintenance staff to support successful project delivery.

COMPENSATION

The anticipated compensation range for this position is $65-$75/hr. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
