H&H is hiring a mid-level CADD Highway/Roadway/Stormwater Designer to join our New York, NY office. The CADD Designer will work closely with the CADD Manager, Project Managers, Engineers, and others to support project teams throughout the company on proposals, planning, and design tasks.

Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with engineers and the design team to advance and complete various project types, including roadway, bridge, and drainage.
2. Produce 2D and 3D models and drafting of civil transportation plans using Microstation or AutoCAD, in accordance with company and client standards, with limited supervision.
3. Develop highway and roadway infrastructure projects with plans, profiles, superelevation transitions, and cross sections.
4. Create conceptual and final construction design plans for utilities, grading, and stormwater.
5. Use 3D modeling for roadways, drainage, and grading designs.
6. Coordinate with disciplines such as structural, electrical, mechanical, and architectural teams at the project level.
7. Support design during construction activities.
8. Create models for quantity takeoffs and spreadsheets estimating project quantities.
9. Assist and mentor junior engineers and professionals.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience as a civil designer or CADD operator.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation InRoads/GeoPAK, and OpenRoads Designer.
• Experience with infrastructure projects such as drainage, roadway, and utilities.
• Experience developing engineering drawings and managing files across digital environments.
• Familiarity with standards like AASHTO, NYSDOT, MUTCD, NYCDEP, or ability to learn them.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal communication, and time management skills.

Benefits

Salary range — $65,000-$75,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
