Job summary

Wood is seeking Civil Helpers for a 2-month project in Ingleside, Texas. The role involves 12-hour days on a construction site with per diem provided. A TWIC card and U.S. work authorization without sponsorship are required.

Responsibilities

• Builds wired structures and supports per blueprints and instructions; lays out partitions and cabinet work.
• Examines blueprints and plans to determine materials and dimensions.
• Selects, loads and transports materials to the work site; prepares form layouts and marks cutting lines.
• Measures and shapes materials to required sizes using saws, chisels, and planes.

Job description

Wood is currently sourcing for a Civil Helpers to join our team in Ingleside, Texas. U.S. for a 2-month project. Schedule is 13/1 with 12 hour days. Per diem will be paid. TWIC card is required.

• Concrete finishing and rod busing experience.
• Builds wooded structures, such as stairs, concrete forms, rod busting, concrete finishing, scaffolds, tunnel and sewer supports, and temporary frame shelters, according to blueprints, or oral instructions, and lays out and installs partitions and cabinet work.
• Examines blueprints, sketches or building plans for to determine material required and dimensions of structure or fixture to be fabricated.
• Selects, loads, and hauls job material to work site.
• Prepares layout of form or fixture to be fabricated using lines or grades.
• Measures boards, timbers, or plywood using square, measuring tape and ruler and marks cutting lines on materials using pencil and scriber. Shapes materials to required sizes using saws, chisels, and planes

Typical 3 years and above documented field experience in chosen craft discipline with ability to read and interpret instructions and document, plan and perform work activities independently.
