Anchor Point Construction Group, a veteran-owned foundation and geotechnical specialist, seeks a licensed Civil/Geotechnical Engineer (PE) to lead design-build from concept through execution in the New York City metropolitan area. Hybrid work model with on-site, office, and remote elements.

Responsibilities include geotechnical/foundation design, site investigations, data interpretation, and producing reports and calculations. Collaboration across project teams and stamping submittals are key.

Qualifications

• PE license in Civil or related discipline.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering; advanced degree beneficial.
• Proficiency in geotechnical analysis and foundation design.
• Experience with site investigations and interpretation of lab/field data.
• Experience with design codes (IBC, ACI, AISC, NYC codes).
• Familiar with CAD tools and geotechnical design software.
• Ability to work safely on active construction sites.

Responsabilités

We're seeking a licensed engineer with hands-on experience in geotechnical and foundation construction, including pile, SOE, and ground improvement design, estimating, and implementation. Project management experienced - You'll lead our design-build work from concept through project execution.

They will lead the design / build then project execution.

Salary Range $135,000 - $190,000

Role Description

This full-time Civil / Geotechnical Engineer – PE role is a hybrid position based in the New York City Metropolitan Area, with a blend of on-site, office and remote work. The engineer will support geotechnical and foundation design, perform site investigations, analyze soil and structural data, and prepare engineering reports, drawings, and calculations for projects from pre-construction through delivery. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with project managers, field supervisors, and clients; reviewing and stamping designs and submittals; and ensuring compliance with local codes, safety standards, and project specifications. The role will also involve supporting design proof and testing programs, monitoring construction activities to verify adherence to engineering requirements, and contributing to technical solutions for ground-level and structural systems. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to maintain project schedules, manage engineering documentation, and support continuous improvement in quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Civil or related discipline.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or closely related field; advanced degree in geotechnical or structural engineering is a plus.
• Proficiency in geotechnical analysis, foundation design, and soil-structure interaction for deep and shallow foundations, retaining systems, and ground improvement techniques.
• Experience with site investigations, subsurface exploration programs, and interpretation of geotechnical reports, lab results, and field testing data.
• Skill in preparing and reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations using relevant design codes and standards (e.g., IBC, ACI, AISC, local NYC codes).
• Familiarity with engineering and design software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar CAD tools, geotechnical design programs, structural analysis software) and strong general computer skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work safely on active construction sites, collaborate with field teams, and integrate engineering solutions into construction means and methods.
