WECTEC Staffing Services seeks a Civil/Geotechnical Engineer II for an 11-month remote contract based in Juno Beach, FL. You will support wind, solar, energy storage, and transmission projects within the E&C Civil SME Team.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in civil engineering, PE licensure, 8+ years in geotechnical work, and ability to travel up to 20% in North America.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in civil engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in at least one United States jurisdiction.
• 8+ years of geotechnical engineering experience including field investigations and reporting.
• Ability to provide recommendations, review drawings, and manage complex geotechnical projects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver responsive engineering support for wind, solar, energy storage, and transmission projects.
• Participate in design and constructability reviews and provide accurate comments to avoid delays.
• Support resolution of execution-phase issues impacting budget and schedule.
• Coordinate external engineering consultants to supplement and validate opinions.
• Perform due diligence related to new technologies and review equipment/ materials evaluations.

Opportunity Overview

Civil /Geotechnical Engineer ll based in Juno Beach, FL. You can Remotely with this position. This is an 11-months contract assignment.(W-2) Geotechnical/Civil/Structural Principal Subject Matter Expert (SME) role.

You will be a collaborative member of the Engineering and Construction (E&C) Civil Subject Matter Expert Team. This team includes engineers with expertise in structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, site development, stormwater management, sediment and erosion control, and risk management.

Must be able to travel within North America up to 20% of the time.

Your Day-to-Day

• Deliver responsive engineering support for wind, solar, energy storage, clean fuels, substation, and transmission projects within the Engineering & Construction Department
• Participate in design and constructability reviews and provide and accurate comments and feedback to avoid schedule impacts
• Support resolution of critical execution-phase issues that could adversely affect project budget and schedule if not addressed promptly
• Coordinate and secure external engineering consulting expertise to supplement and validate professional opinions
• Perform due diligence related to new technologies
• Support equipment and material technical evaluations, including review of manufacturing and fabrication non- conformance reports

Who You Are

• Master\'s degree in civil engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) Licensure in at least one United States jurisdiction
• Must have eight+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering performing field investigations, reviewing laboratory data, developing geotechnical reports
• You offer recommendations, observing construction activities, reviewing specifications and drawings, analyzing complex geotechnical issues, and managing complex geotechnical projects.
