Westinghouse Electric Company LLC's WECTEC Staffing Services seeks an Electrical Engineer-Level 4 for a 1-year contract, remote with travel to Juno Beach, FL. You will lead high-level system design, grid optimization, and risk management, guiding engineering strategies and ensuring project success from concept to execution.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years in PLC programming (Schneider Electric), with experience in Modbus, DNP3, Ignition SCADA, and HMI development, plus utility-scale energy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Experience in utility-scale energy projects preferred.
• Knowledge of PLC programming and industrial protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level oversight of engineering and project execution, negotiate technical and regulatory requirements, and influence executive-level project decisions.
• Lead diverse engineering teams, ensure compliance with industry standards, and improve designs for energy infrastructure.
• Be the technical authority on engineering standards and regulatory requirements.

Opportunity Overview:

Electrical Engineer-Level 4 on based in Juno Beach, FL but you can work remotely. This is a 1-year contract assignment.(W-2) You will provide high-level expertise in system design, grid optimization, and technical risk management.

Work with customer leadership to guide engineering strategies, solve complex challenges, and ensure long-term infrastructure resilience. You would have an advanced experience in system integration, and risk management, ensuring project success from conception through execution. Location: Remote with trips to Juno Beach, FL 33408

Your Day-to-Day:

• Provide high-level oversight of engineering and project execution, negotiate technical and regulatory requirements, and influences executive-level project decisions.


• Lead diverse engineering teams, ensures compliance with industry standards, and improve technical designs for energy infrastructure.


• Be the technical authority on engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.


• You will manage PPA, LGIA, and OEM testing completion.

Who You Are:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field


• 15+ years of experience in PLC programming, preferably Schneider Electric platforms


• Experience of Modbus, DNP3, and industrial communication protocols


• Experience with Ignition SCADA platform and HMI development


• Experience with power systems and utility-scale energy project


• Experience with utility-scale renewable energy or power generation projects


• Knowledge of BESS control systems, inverters, and energy storage technologies


• Familiarity with grid interconnection requirements and utility standards


• Experience with FAT/SAT testing procedures and commissioning protocols


• Ability to travel up to 25% for project commissioning support


• NERC CIP cybersecurity awareness
