Job summary

J M Davidson Inc is seeking a Civil Journeyman to perform skilled civil construction work including concrete placement, form carpentry, and reinforcing steel installation on industrial, commercial, or heavy civil projects. The role requires reading blueprints and executing multiple trades with safety at the forefront.

Responsibilities include building forms, placing concrete, aligning reinforcement, inspecting work, and coordinating with crane and equipment operators.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; journeyman-level civil/construction experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications and drawings.
• Knowledge of concrete forming systems and reinforcing steel placement practices.
• Experience on industrial, commercial, heavy civil, or infrastructure projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build, install, align, and dismantle concrete forms for foundations, walls, slabs, columns, and structures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and layout information.
• Measure, cut, and assemble wood, metal, and form systems.
• Place, finish, and supervise concrete pours and curing.
• Install rebar, anchors, and other embedded items; ensure form and rebar accuracy.
