Position Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Foreman to oversee the execution of our high-end residential and commercial projects. As a senior field lead, you will serve as the primary link between the Project Management team and the site crew. Your focus will be on maintaining the highest levels of technical accuracy and safety while navigating the complexities of high-spec, custom luxury builds. Position reports to Superintendent/Project Managers.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Decisive Field Leadership: Provide clear daily direction to crews and subcontractors. Maintain open lines of communication to ensure project objectives, safety protocols, and production targets are met without ambiguity.
  • Crew Synchronization: Lead daily huddles to align the team on production goals, task delegation, and real‑time site challenges.
  • Comprehensive Plan Literacy: Expert ability to interpret and build from complex construction documents, including architectural blueprints, structural engineering details, and topographic site plans.
  • Civil & Structural Oversight: Demonstrate deep technical knowledge of site grading, soil stabilization, shoring, underground utilities, and structural concrete within a luxury residential context.
  • Strategic Communication: Ability to translate complex technical jargon into actionable instructions for the crew and high‑level professional updates for architects and stakeholders.
  • Technical & Digital Proficiency: Intermediate computer skills with the ability to navigate project management apps, digital plan‑room tools, and professional email correspondence.
  • Experience & Drive: 3–5+ years of recent, related construction experience. Must be a results‑oriented self‑starter who thrives in a team environment.
  • Safety & Environment Stewardship: Strictly follow all safety policies (OSHA) while maintaining a clean, orderly, and presentable work environment.
  • Operational Flexibility: Available for shift work as project demands require, including early mornings, long days, or occasional weekends.
  • Fleet & Logistics Compliance: Must possess a valid driver’s license with an insurable MVR and the ability to safely operate larger vehicles (F350–F550). A commercial driver’s license and the ability to pass a DOT physical are highly desirable.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English is required; bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable.
  • Education: Minimum High School Diploma, college degree or certificates preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Field Leadership & Mentorship: Provide decisive day‑to‑day direction to the crew and subcontractors. You are responsible for active training, performance management, and ensuring the team operates with the precision required for high‑end custom builds.
  • Civil & Structural Oversight: Lead the layout and installation of critical infrastructure, including sewer, gas, water, and electrical systems, as well as complex grading operations for basements, house pads, and foundations.
  • Logistics & Strategic Planning: Proactively anticipate site needs in advance—including material deliveries, heavy equipment staging, and sub‑trade scheduling—to eliminate downtime and maintain the critical path.
  • Digital Documentation: Maintain and submit high‑accuracy daily logs, site photographs, and progress reports via company‑approved apps. Ensure all digital files are professional, organized, and ready for management review.
  • Client & Stakeholder Stewardship: Act as a brand ambassador by maintaining a "white‑glove" job site. This includes communicating clearly with architects, respecting client privacy, and ensuring the site is always "tour‑ready" for high‑net‑worth stakeholders.
  • Asset & Fleet Management: Ensure the meticulous upkeep of all company‑issued tools, vehicles, and heavy equipment, while strictly adhering to State and Federal driving regulations.
  • Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Enforce rigorous OSHA standards and internal safety protocols. You are responsible for ensuring every installation and site activity meets the highest industry safety benchmarks.
  • Daily Tracking & Reporting: Alert project management staff to any changes in the field that could result in a change order and document them. Track and maintain records of daily crew time.
