Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Civil Field Engineer to provide technical support to field supervision across construction disciplines. Initial work may begin in Reston, Houston, or Cheyenne, with long-term assignment in Cheyenne, contingent on project award.

The role emphasizes preconstruction planning, package development, and coordination of subcontractor submittals, with a focus on safety and quality in a major gas-fired power facility project.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of engineering and construction methods.
• Experience placing structural concrete and knowledge of ACI codes.
• Experience with union direct hire craft projects is desirable.
• Familiarity with Bechtel standard processes and BSAP systems.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepares construction drawings and sketches.
• Facilitates planning construction methods and procedures.
• Initiates field purchases and prepares quantity takeoffs.
• Oversees field inspections and safety compliance.
• Reviews inspection test plans and coordinates submittals.
