Job summary

Lunda Construction, a Tutor Perini Company, seeks an Estimator for our Rosemount, MN office to develop detailed cost estimates for heavy/highway civil and industrial projects. You will perform quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and bidding support, leveraging historical data and subcontractor input.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (bachelor’s preferred), 3+ years in estimating, and strong skills in Bluebeam and Excel, with solid communication and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of previous construction estimating or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of construction materials and material designations is required.
• General knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam and MS Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated dependability, diligence, and thoroughness.

Responsibilities

• Calculate quantity take-offs, material price lists, labor costs per hour, and equipment costs.
• Research historical data and prepare summary reports for estimates.
• Develop project update and bid package estimate documents.
• Maintain organization of estimating documents and backups.
• Assist in monitoring conceptual estimates against actual costs.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisor.
