Job summary

Janke General Contractors, Inc. is seeking an experienced Estimator / Project Manager to lead civil construction projects from pre-construction planning through final closeout.

The role ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to high quality standards while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders. This position drives project success through leadership, financial oversight, contract administration, risk management,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in civil construction, site development, utility, earthwork, municipal infrastructure, or heavy highway construction.
• Demonstrated success managing budgets, schedules, contracts, and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop project execution plans, budgets, schedules, and resource requirements.
• Review contracts, plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Coordinate startup activities, permits, relocations, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead pre-construction meetings with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and procurement activities.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
