Corridor Contractors, LLC. is seeking a Civil Earthwork Estimating / Project Manager in Washington state. The role focuses on accurate cost estimation for earthwork and utilities, and overseeing heavy civil projects from pre-construction to closeout.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in HCSS HeavyBid and Primavera P6, strong earthwork knowledge, and experience liaising between clients, estimators, and on-site superintendents. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Key Responsibilities and Skills for a Civil Earthwork Estimating / Project Manager:
Preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for earthwork and utility projects, including quantity take-offs, labor, materials, and equipment pricing.This includes reviewing proposals, specifications, and drawings, and attending pre-bid meetings.
Overseeing heavy civil construction projects from pre-construction to closeout, managing daily operations, coordinating materials delivery, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Expertise with estimating software such as HCSS HeavyBid is often a crucial requirement, alongside experience with scheduling software like Primavera P6.
Strong knowledge of earthwork, grading, underground utilities, and construction methods is essential.
Acting as a lead liaison between clients, estimators, and on-site superintendents, preparing project documentation, and representing the company in meetings.
Investigating design options, recommending solutions, and exploring value engineering opportunities.
Several years of experience in civil construction, particularly with heavy civil, earthwork, and underground utility projects, is generally required.
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred, or an equivalent combination of technical training and related experience.
