Job summary

Austin Commercial, the Phoenix Division of Austin Industries’ employee-owned group, is seeking a Civil Estimator with civil construction estimating experience. You will perform quantity/cost take-offs, develop unit costs, clarify assumptions, and coordinate with design professionals on plans and specs for bids.

Requires 3–5 years of civil estimating experience and a BS/BA in engineering or a related field. We offer strong benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, 401K

Qualifications

3–5 years civil construction estimating experience.
BS/BA in engineering, construction science, or related field preferred.
Familiarity with materials, means and methods.

Responsibilities

Quantity/Cost take-offs for bids.
Develops clarifications and assumptions.
Identifies data gaps and coordinates with design professionals.
Distributes bid documents.
Develops unit costs.
Keeps up with building designs and materials.
Reviews proposals and quotes from subcontractors/vendors.
Performs document reviews for onerous requirements.
Builds relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and architects.
