Job summary

Southeast Culvert Inc. is seeking an estimator to support takeoffs and value-engineered estimates for storm drainage projects.

You will review civil construction plans, identify SeC products, and validate quantities to help drive competitive bids. This role requires strong numeric ability, proficiency in Excel, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD, plus the ability to read plans and communicate findings clearly with Estimating and Engineering.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
• Experience reading civil construction plans and blueprints.
• Proficient in Excel, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Review civil construction plans to identify SeC products and alternates.
• Produce accurate material takeoffs and validate quantities.
• Identify issues or liabilities and address them quickly.
• Prepare value-engineered estimates for teams to pursue.
• Collaborate with Estimating on job prioritization and on-time delivery.
• Stay informed of industry changes and improve team knowledge.
• Organize job folders and documents for estimates/takeoffs.
