Job summary

Saint Cyr Partners in Southern California seeks an Estimator for civil grading and site work to price earthwork, utilities, paving and concrete. You’ll build bids for public agencies, utilities and developers using your experience with heavy bid packages and cost databases.

The role requires on-site work in East San Diego County and a focus on efficient, accurate estimating. You will work with project managers and field crews, maintaining unit costs and supporting turnover and change orders,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating in civil grading or heavy civil
• Experience with grading, site development and underground utilities
• Track record bidding for public works and private development
• Proficient with HeavyBid, B2W, Bluebeam Revu, PlanSwift and Excel
• Able to build unit costs from historical data

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity take-offs for earthwork and site development
• Take off underground utilities, trenching, paving and concrete
• Build cost estimates from labor, equipment, materials and subs
• Prepare bids for public agencies, utilities and developers
• Negotiate supplier and subcontractor pricing
• Attend pre-bid meetings and bid reviews
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers and field crews on constructability
• Maintain unit costs and support project turnover
