Job summary

You will perform quantity take-offs, build cost estimates from labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor quotes, and prepare competitive bids in compliance with prevailing wage and procurement rules.

Qualifications

• 5+ years estimating experience in civil grading or heavy civil.
• Experience with public works bidding and prevailing wage.
• Proficiency with the listed estimating software and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity take-offs for earthwork, grading, site development.
• Build cost estimates from labor, equipment, materials and subs.
• Prepare competitive bids per prevailing wage and procurement rules.
• Solicit, evaluate and negotiate supplier and subcontractor pricing.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and bid reviews; support value engineering.
