Job summary

AllSearch Recruiting is seeking a Civil Estimator for a Danvers, MA project. The role focuses on preparing complete civil estimates from bid documents, with emphasis on earthwork, excavation, grading, and water/sewer/underground utilities. Requires 2+ years of estimating experience and hands-on takeoff work.

Responsibilities include analyzing bid documents, developing cost estimates, and integrating vendor pricing while supporting bid activities. Base salary ranges up to 170k/year.

Qualifications

• 2+ years estimating experience.
• Experience performing detailed water, sewer & drain takeoffs.
• Civil construction estimating experience including earthwork, sitework, site development, or underground utilities.
• Experience with estimating software such as Trimble and Heavy Bid.
• Project management experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete civil construction takeoffs from bid documents, breaking down project components to establish total direct costs.
• Extract and analyze bid document information affecting production rates, quantities, labor, equipment utilization, and pricing.
• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for earthwork, excavation, grading, water, sewer, drainage, and underground utilities.
• Estimate crew production and heavy equipment requirements for civil/sitework projects.
• Evaluate equipment capabilities to accurately estimate utilization and project costs.
• Review plans, specifications, bid documents, and project requirements to develop estimates.
• Obtain and incorporate vendor and subcontractor pricing into estimates.
• Support bid preparation and other estimating activities as required.
