Job summary

AllSearch Professional Staffing clients seeks a Civil Estimator in Danvers, MA to prepare comprehensive civil construction estimates and quantity takeoffs with emphasis on earthwork, excavation, grading and underground utilities. Requires 2+ years of estimating experience and hands-on takeoff work for water, sewer and drainage systems.

Responsibilities include analyzing bid documents, determining costs, coordinating with vendors, and supporting bid preparation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years estimating experience.
• Experience performing detailed water, sewer & drain takeoffs.
• Civil construction estimating in earthwork, sitework or underground utilities.
• Experience with Trimble and Heavy Bid software.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete civil construction takeoffs from bid documents and establish total direct costs.
• Analyze bid documents to determine production rates, quantities, labor, equipment and pricing.
• Prepare cost estimates for earthwork, water, sewer, drainage and underground utilities.
• Estimate crew production and heavy equipment requirements for civil/sitework projects.
• Review plans and specs to develop accurate estimates and incorporate subcontractor pricing.
