Job summary

Harrison, Walker & Harper is seeking a skilled Civil Estimator to join our Paris, TX office. You will support the estimating department with bid preparation, plan reviews, quantity takeoffs, and coordination of bidding activities to help us win projects.

Includes attending pre-bid meetings and procuring plans/specs for bidding. The ideal candidate has strong Excel skills, familiarity with civil construction software, and a detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

Familiarity with Excel, Insite Elevation Pro and AutoCAD.
Strong understanding of construction documents and specifications.
Proficient in take-offs and scope analysis.
Organized, detail-oriented, and team-focused.

Responsibilities

Assists and executes estimating work plan including estimate preparation & set up, coordination of bidding activities, posting of plans and specifications to Building Connected and/or Base Camp.
Assists Estimators in coordination & solicitation of quotes from vendors and subcontractors; place advertisements for bid.
Reviews and understands plans and specs to establish complete scopes and identify conflicts.
Performs quantity take offs and provides accurate scopes, counts and quantities.
