Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Civil Estimator in Cornelius, NC for an on-site, permanent role. You will prepare detailed estimates for asphalt, grading, drainage, and site development, review blueprints, and manage multiple bids while adhering to DOT standards.

Proficiency in HeavyBid, AgTek, and Bluebeam is required. We offer competitive salary based on experience, health insurance, PTO, and a company vehicle or allowance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience as Civil Estimator in construction.
• Proficient with HeavyBid and AgTek for takeoffs and estimates.
• Extensive knowledge of DOT standards in project estimation.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans accurately.
• Proven experience managing multiple bids and taking off quantities.
• Strong analytical skills to assess pricing data and costs.
• Excellent communication with project managers, engineers and clients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed project estimates and bids, ensuring complete cost representation.
• Review blueprints, plans and specs to define scope and requirements.
• Use HeavyBid and ADTek for takeoffs and estimation tasks.
• Analyze pricing data, market trends, and costs to support bids.
• Manage multiple bids simultaneously and ensure timely completion.
• Liaise with PMs, engineers, and clients to clarify details and resolve discrepancies.
• Adhere to DOT standards in all estimations and bids.
• Perform takeoffs for asphalt, grading, drainage, and site development.
• Monitor industry trends to keep estimation processes current.
