Job summary

A leading civil engineering company in Wisconsin seeks a passionate Traffic Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead diverse projects and impact communities positively. The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, at least 7 years of experience, and familiarity with transportation engineering solutions. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills and project management expertise. Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant experience leading civil engineering projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred.
  • Proficiency in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).
  • Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) License preferred.
  • Experience with Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), traffic studies, traffic signal design, lighting design, and traffic modeling.
  • Certified Road Safety Professional 1 or 2 or the ability to obtain certification.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to worksites, meetings with clients, and attend conferences.
  • To be legally authorized to work permanently in the country where this position is located
  • To occasionally travel out-of-town and overnight for professional development and/or project-related work

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage project teams for high-quality engineering projects.
  • Develop and monitor project budgets and schedules.
  • Serve as primary contact for clients to ensure effective communication.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear and effective communication
  • Ensure all project-specific delivery requirements, standards, and deadlines are met
  • Lead project pursuits, including securing contract work, negotiating contracts, and providing progress updates as requested
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to staff
  • Develop and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
  • Collaborate with colleagues and leverage internal resources to continuously enhance professional skills and project outcomes
  • Adhere to internal Quality Control processes to ensure accuracy and compliance

Job Responsibilities

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
  • 7+ years of relevant experience with multiple years leading projects
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) License (preferred)
  • A Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) License (preferred)
  • Experience with Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), traffic studies, traffic signal design, lighting design, and traffic modeling
  • Certified Road Safety Professional 1 or 2 or the ability to obtain certification
