Job OverviewWe are seeking a new Transportation Civil Engineering Project Manager to join our Civil Engineering Transportation Design team at Ardmore Roderick. The ideal candidate enjoys roadway design, project coordination and interacting with clients. As a Transportation Civil Engineering Project Manager you will be joining a team of infrastructure solutions experts working to solve our client’s ever evolving project needs.This opportunity has the flexibility to be located in either our Chicago, IL location and has a three days in office and two days virtual schedule most of the time.Key Responsibilities- Manage team to successfully deliver projects per Client’s expectations
- Manager project schedules and budgets
- Coordinate with Client and subconsultants
- Collaborate with fellow managers in the development of proposal packages
- Assist less experienced engineers by providing technical support and opportunities for skill development
Required Qualifications- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
- A minimum of 10 years of experience working on civil transportation centric design projects
- PE license in IL
- The ideal candidate will have the ability to prepare the designs themselves should staffing availability and schedule dictate as such
- Past experience managing transportation projects from early stages to wrap up and delivery phases
- Experience mentoring and influencing project teammates to meet design deadlines and other project achievement goals
- Proficient with MicroStation and ProjectWise
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, BlueBeam and/or Adobe
- Have a team player mindset with the ability to communicate proficiently in written and verbal forms
- Have good to great organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications- Advanced degree(s)
- Familiarity with Open Roads
- Familiarity with proposal preparation
- Possess phase I/II design and project management experience, varying in complexity for clients such as IDOT, Tollway, CDOT and other local agencies
- Experience designing and managing the preparation of project reports, plans, specifications and estimates for local municipalities
- CFM license
- PTOE license
