PacRim Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager to join our team in California. The role oversees design and civil engineering tasks across municipal, DoD, and private development projects, supervising engineers and coordinating with clients to deliver studies, site investigations, and fully designed plans.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Civil Engineering (ABET), 10+ years of civil experience, and a CA-preferred PE license. Master’s is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred in California.
• Minimum 10 years of civil engineering experience.
• Master’s degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams in developing plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Supervise design engineers for varied project types including studies and site investigations.
• Prepare Basis of Design, PS&E, and related engineering reports and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with municipalities, DoD, private developers, and agencies.
• Manage client communications, proposals, and budgets.

We are currently looking to hire an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager to join our team of managers, engineers, and designers, who represent the top talent in the industry.

Duties and responsibilities

The position performs general project management and civil engineering work under direct supervision of a Principal.
The position will apply fundamental engineering training, knowledge, and experience to supervise design engineers to deliver all tasks for different project types including engineering studies and site investigation reports; land development designs; preparation of Basis of Design (BOD); preparation of fully designed plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E), and other engineering reports, cost estimates, and construction support. Typical clients served include Municipalities, DoD agencies, private developers, and other public and private organizations.

• Leading project teams in the development of plans, specifications, and cost estimates

Qualifications

• Knowledge of public works
• Skills in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam
• Excellent writing and communication skills

Education & Experiences

• A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited college (ABET) is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of civil engineering experience
• PE license is a must (in California preferred)
• A Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering is a plus
