Job summary

T. Baker Smith is seeking a dynamic Civil Lead Professional to lead and develop our civil engineering team, oversee successful project delivery, and drive growth of our civil services.

This role blends technical leadership with people development and client relationship building. You will mentor engineers, coordinate with project managers, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across land development, utilities, drainage, and infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive civil engineering experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop engineering professionals and project teams.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering design principles, project delivery, and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Lead & develop a team of Civil Engineers, Project Managers, Designers, and professionals.
• Oversee a diverse portfolio of civil projects including site development, drainage, utilities, and infrastructure.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet client expectations.
• Monitor project profitability, resources, and performance; mentor staff and foster growth.
• Promote safety, quality, and continuous improvement across projects.
