Job summary

KEITH Engineering Design is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 at our Port Saint Lucie, FL office to support our growing firm.

You will gain hands-on experience in site design, stormwater, water and wastewater, paving, grading and drainage, and assist with CAD design, AutoCAD drafting and permit preparation while collaborating with engineers and clients.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication with clients and colleagues.
• Familiar with site development, permitting and basic engineering processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist CAD design and drafting tasks.
• Support site design, stormwater, grading and drainage planning.
• Prepare permit applications and related documents using AutoCAD.
• Attend design and production meetings and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Contribute to project production under supervision of licensed engineers.

Civil Engineering Internship - Summer 2027 - South Florida

KEITH is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join us Summer of 2027 inour Port Saint Lucie, FL office to strengthen our growing firm. We are looking for positive individuals to fit our energetic culture. You will gain knowledge of fundamental engineering processes, construction methods and permittingto carry-out the concurrent planning, design, production and construction of our engineering projects, both for our private and public-sector clients. These projects typically entail site development, stormwater, water/wastewater, paving, grading and drainage and other related improvements.

What you'll learn:

• CAD Design and Drafting
• Site Design, Stormwater Management,Grading and Drainage, Erosion and Sediment Control, Water Treatment, Traffic Analysis, Utility Design, and more
• Engineering calculations, data research and analysis
• You will prepare contract documents utilizing AutoCAD
• How to coordinate activities with other disciplines, internally and externally
